A private Morocco tour usually costs far less per person as your group grows, because you are sharing one vehicle and driver. Below are our current starting prices for common trip lengths, along with what they include and what to budget on top.

What to budget on top
- Flights: International flights are not included.
- Lunches: Allow around €8 to €15 per person per day at the simple restaurants along the route.
- Monument tickets: Most sites charge a few euros, and even major palaces rarely cost more than about €10.
- Local city guides: Check your itinerary, as some are included and others can be added.
- Tips: These are appreciated, not compulsory. Many travelers leave around €10 to €15 per day for their driver-guide, shared across the group.
- Personal spending: Carpets, argan oil and other souvenirs are the easiest way to overspend, so set a limit first.
What affects the price?
- Group size: One vehicle costs about the same for two travelers as for four, so larger groups pay less each. Solo travelers pay more, since they cover the whole vehicle.
- Accommodation level: Moving from a comfortable riad to a luxury palace, or from a standard camp to a luxury one, is the biggest single change you can make.
- Season: Spring, autumn and the New Year holidays are busiest, and special dates such as New Year's Eve in the desert are priced separately.
- Route: One-way itineraries may include a repositioning cost for the vehicle.
How to get a good price
Travel with more people if you can, avoid peak holiday dates, and ask for a mid-range camp if luxury is not a priority. Most importantly, compare like with like. A cheap shared tour with 15 people on a minibus is a very different trip from a private one, even when the route looks the same on paper.
